These Sheep Have Been Saved!
Millions of lambs throughout Australia will endure the horrific pain of mulesing this season, but this lamb, like thousands of others, has been spared the cruel practice of mulesing as a direct result of PETA's campaign against cruelty in the Australian wool industry and our agreement with the Australian Wool Growers Association, which has, as a result, immediately reduced mulesing among its many members.

Major Retailers Show Support for PETA/AWGA Agreement

Bean, Eddie Bauer, Jones Apparel Group, and Ann Taylor—with combined annual sales totaling more than $25 billion—have sent letters to Australian Wool Innovation (AWI) and the Australian Sheep and Wool Industry Taskforce, urging them to embrace the agreement reached between PETA and the Australian Wool Growers Association (AWGA).
